Answers to the most common questions about Spark motorcycle technical underwear: how to choose it, sizes, washing, shipping, returns and warranty.

What is a base layer and why do you need one on the bike?

It is the technical underwear worn next to the skin, under your jacket, suit and helmet. Its job is to keep you dry: it moves sweat away, prevents chills when you stop and holds the heat in winter. An ordinary cotton garment gets wet and stays damp.

How do I choose the right weight?

Ultralight for summer, Light for mid-season, Medium for all four seasons, Heavy for winter. The coloured label on each product photo shows the weight at a glance. Details in the fabric weight guide.

Which size should I take?

Seamless shirts, pants and undersuits come in double sizes (XS/S, M/L, XL/XXL and, for some models, 3XL/4XL); fabric garments go from XS to XXL. Balaclavas, neck warmers and glove liners are one size. Use the guides for seamless garments and fabric garments.

What is Dryarn®?

A polypropylene microfibre that does not absorb sweat but pushes it out: dry skin, no odours, very light. Learn more about Dryarn®.

Dryarn® or merino wool?

Dryarn® is lighter and dries faster: it is the most versatile choice, from summer to winter. Merino wool (Giau line) warms naturally and is ideal for real cold and long rides in the mountains.

How do I wash Spark garments?

In the washing machine or by hand at 30°C; some models, such as Sunny, Sunny+, Blazy and the socks, also at 40°C. No bleach or harsh detergents. The exact instructions are on each product page.

What are the complete kits?

Garments already matched (for example shirt, base layer pants and balaclava from the same line) for less than buying them separately. Choose the size and colour of each item directly on the kit page. See the kits.

How does "Build your kit" work?

Combine the items you like: 10% off with 2 items, 15% off with 3 or more. The discount is applied automatically in the cart. Complete kits, already discounted, are excluded, and it cannot be combined with other discount codes.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Shipping in Italy is free from €59, otherwise €6.90. Delivery in Italy takes 24/48 working hours from dispatch (3-4 days for the islands).

Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes, for unworn items, within 14 working days of delivery. Write to info@spark-italy.it with the item and the reason: we will send you the address. Shipping to us is at your expense; for an exchange, we send the new item at our expense. Full details.

Do products have a warranty?

Yes, 2 years on conformity defects. It does not cover wear or damage from use, incorrect washing or rubbing against Velcro and protectors. Read the warranty.
